  Dead On/Relentless II

Sam Dietz is a relentless cop who is trying to get over a serial killer's attack on his family in the last Relentless film. He is also trying to find the new killer in the city. Gregor is a relentless patriot who is trying to avenge the deaths of his family. He hunts down those responsible, and executes them one by one. The two men learn to understand and even respect each other in this violent tale of cat and mouse.

This was among the first of many police roles I’ve played over the years. Typically, I’m a harassed but honest senior cop who must keep a free-wheeling detective in control while he fights to clean up the mean streets of some major urban area. In this case, it’s two cops (Leo Rossi and Ray Sharkey) and I had a number of memorable scenes refereeing fights between these two as they chased a brutal serial killer in and around Los Angeles. I also got a chance to work with Meg Ryan…and, yes, those eyes are really that color blue.

This film also sticks in my actor’s memory because it’s about as naked as I’ve ever been on screen. There is a scene in which my character is swimming in the PD’s gym pool while being harangued and harassed by Leo Rossi who is on the trail of a suspect via a hot clue. I passed on the Speedo and went with a pair of regulation PT shorts.
