Space: Above and Beyond
SPACE: Above and Beyond premiered in the fall of 1995 on the FOX Broadcasting Network. It is a one-hour drama about a squadron of brave, first-year Marine Corps fighter pilots whose mission is to stop a race of aliens out to conquer Earth, in the year 2063.
I did one episode of this short-lived TV science-fiction series. Its a shame it was cancelled. They didnt have much money, but the theme of a group of futuristic SF soldiers handling galactic military problems was interesting. I played a veteran SF operator in one such story. My character was attached to the team because I had experience with the specific type of marauding alien intelligence that was causing trouble on a remote planet. Didnt do anyone much good. They established me as the only available expert
and then killed me off shortly after the team touched down which left the heroes to conquer the bad things on their own. Can you say typecast?
