Dead Presidents
Marketed as a heist film, Dead Presidents is, in fact, about Vietnam and the troubled aftermath for the young men (many of them black) who fought there. After witnessing combat's unspeakable horrors, Anthony Curtis (Larenz Tate) returns to the United States to find himself out of options. Desperate, he plots an appropriate crime: robbing a shipment of weathered money being taken out of circulation.
